One of the most famous tribes in the northern part of Afghanistan called the Turkomans are called Tekke and Ersari tribes where they have been making beautiful rich red colour and good quality rugs for centuries. Using lustrous hand spun wool in vegetable dyes in the most attractive designs of the Turkoman tribes have created and allowed us to revive the ancient way of producing extremely good quality, hard wearing rugs in rich colours as their ancestors used to make that we call Ersari designs.
